Sorry for all of this testing. The contest is challenging us to understand SEO, which I do not. Someone wrote about spamming other blogs with “keyword rich” comments. I’m not sure what that means, but I’m testing both in post links and comment links.

The whole thing just seems pretty odd to me. Just writing and not worrying about this stuff works better for me. Knowing about real estate is about all I can handle these days, given this crazy market we’re in.

Still, the contest Greatest Real Estate Agent in the World has caught a lot of attention, including mine. So I’ll give it a few minutes here and there and see if I can’t learn a thing or two.

I rarely use this blog anyway.

  2. Hi Ardell!
    Why the testing?

I mean in the Rainy City blog you said “SEO…sometimes it just happens and toying with it is unfair somehow.”

Maybe you could share how your testing techniques enhance your real estate content and how you differentiate testing and toying! :)

Come on by http://www.ericonsearch.com/greatest-real-estate-agent-in-the-world-your-name-here and toy around with us, we could use a little of your knowledge in covert actions. LOL

Congrats you are still going strong this morning!

I see that all of us agents with too much time on our hands have piqued your curiosity ;) I think that part of the fun of SEO is doing just what you’re doing and testing things to see what happens.

  4. [...] funny that Kevin’s Active Rain post Googles higher, but just two higher, than mine on a blog I never use. I only see those two when I add Ardell at the end as in Greatest Real Estate Agent in the World [...]

  5. Sorry I didn’t see these. I don’t use this blog, as you can tell by the content.

The testing issue was addressed in a blog post I wrote on RCG.

It is important for those of us who blog in different places to know where it may be best to spend our time. Testing ourselves and knowing this type of information can be important. But as I’ve said, I need to work on searching high on MSN vs. Google. Google rankings don’t interest me as much.

I’d stop by Eric, but after the one and only time I tried to go to one of the contestant or referenced sites, and all hell broke loose…I’m sticking close to home. :)
