Click here for the July update of “Tracking the High End in Kirkland” series.  And don’t forget to visit the Wednesday Market while it’s here!!

Let’s track the market together.

June 2, 2006

wow There are, as of today, 123 properties for sale priced over a million dollars in Kirkland,  60 properties have sold at over a million since 1/1/2006.  I’ll save the editorializing so you can draw your own conclusions.  Let’s track the numbers on or near the first of every month to see how many close each month and how many are on market.  These figures are per the mls.  Given the time of year, we would expect to see the number of closings to go up and hopefully the number for sale to go down, but that could go up too.

 Sears Building

I’m sure anyone interested in Kirkland is interested in this news item.  It’s a tremendous building at 701 Market.

It was listed for sale at $4,950,000.00 and is in escrow subject to inspection.  I invite you all to pull it up on the public sites, try www.SearchingSeattle.com click Eastside then Kirkland and put in the price to see additional photos which I am not permitted to display here per mls rules.  You can only see it before it goes pending.  Or email me at ardell@soundrealty.biz and I can email you the listing after it is pending or sold.

View from my window

This is the view from my bedroom.  It brings me great joy at some unexpected times.  It takes my breath away and makes my day, no matter how many times I see it.  And the night view is even better.  Seattle Skyline, Space Needle to the right, and Mt. Rainer to the far left out of view of this photo.
